Dear Journal,
My camp is getting better.
While it's not the prettiest, it'll work for what I need.
I found a way to make mandrake soup and built an ice box to store it.
I have a piggy neighbor who comes over and 'helps' me cook from time to time. He likes to fight crabs even though they're too fast and out run him. He still tries.
The other night while he was out (who knows where) I was attacked by a pack of hell hounds. Not sure where they came from. But they were no match for me. When my piggy friend returned, I had plenty of monster meat for him which seemed to make him happy.
Once this weird drought is over, I'm going to go sailing to see what else I can find and bring back to my little island. For now though, this is enough.

Kori and Tena are stranded in the woods, trying to survive. Too bad one of them is resourceful and the other is... Well... Kori. [ This is a 'Don't Starve Together' play through blog ]
Day 40 [Island part 2]
Dear Journal,
Sorry it's been so long since I wrote.
For a while there I was losing my sanity. Monsoon season hit and it was raining for a long time. Mosquitoes everywhere! It was annoying. In a desperate attempt to save myself, I went through some fog and wound up on a small island. It was filled with crabs, coconuts and flowers.
After cooking up a mandrake, I ate it and fainted. I assumed I'd die right there.
When I woke up, the sun was shining bright and I was no longer losing my mind. It felt as though I'd been reborn honestly.
I started exploring and realized this island would be perfect for me to live on. So I started to make a permanent home. It's near other islands I've visited and while it's small, there's a lot to forage.
I started to build a wall around my science machine, alchemy device, crock pot, drying rack and two fires (one for warmth, one for cooling). Things seem to be going much nicer now.
I'm not sure how it went from pouring rain all the time to being insanely hot and sunny. But I'll take it. So long as I stay near my cooling fire, I'm fine.
Still hopeful!

Day 29 [Island part 2]
Dear Journal,
Made it to that island with the treasure in one day even though it was on the other side of the map simply because I made a sail.
The treasure was alright. Some useful items but nothing amazing.
The island was full of beefaloos though so I slaughtered them all using my canons and spike club. It was super easy and I got a ton of meat out of it.
I also found another treasure map that wants me to go back to one of the monkey islands. Ugh!
At least I'm doing well. My sanity is up, my stomach is full, my health is topped.
I'm feeling confident.

Day 27 [Island part 2]
Dear Journal,
I've been on this island for a while now. I've appropriately named it 'Death island' because it has all kinds of things on it that want to kill me.
My pig friends turned into monsters when the full moon came out so I had to kill them. I got pig skin out of it though and lots of meat.
During the full moon I went out hunting and killed a huge nest of snakes. I got lots of monster meat that I used in the morning to catch crabs.
After exploring the large island enough, I found another treasure map that wants me to head North to a small island I passed by at one time. Since the hurricanes seem to have gone, I think tomorrow I'll destroy my camp and head up that way.
