Dear Journal,
I woke up in a new place.
Tena was there but we seemed to be without everything else, Teeka included.
When I asked what happened, Tena said a large tree guard broke into our camp and attacked. She fled and in doing so found me. Jumping into a worm hole we found ourselves in a new area.
Unfortunately, it's not home.
Guess it's time to start over.

Kori and Tena are stranded in the woods, trying to survive. Too bad one of them is resourceful and the other is... Well... Kori. [ This is a 'Don't Starve Together' play through blog ]
Day 35
Dear Journal,
Tena and I passed the time today by hunting birds for meat. She would shoot them with her ice staff and I'd attack them. We got a good amount from doing this but it's still very difficult to survive.
I went out to see if I could find more food and instead found flowers. I gathered as much as I could to bring back so we'd be better but the heat started to get to me.
Even my straw hat isn't helping.
I was very close to the camp when I fainted from the heat.
Good bye cruel world...

Day 33
Dear Journal,
We've been surviving but not by much. Our farms have wilted and died. We've been eating decent enough but our health is very low because of the heat. Even our cold fire isn't helping much.
Tena made us straw hats today to see if that would help but it didn't.
When I went out to get more food I found another rabbit. Feeling bad for Teeka, I let it free in our enclosure.
Tena was annoyed about this but too hot and tired to do anything.
The days are getting hotter and longer and our sanity is vanishing like the night.

Day 31
Dear Journal,
Tena returned today, starving and angry because there was no food for her. I apologized and explained how I had nothing to eat for myself and couldn't go far to get more. She ate a mandrake though and felt better.
I, on the other hand, was starting to lose my mind again. At least she had fire fuel with her.
We survived another night but at what costs?

Day 30
Dear Journal,
Summer is here.
It is very very hot. Tena made use some ice amulets or something which helped for a while but they melted pretty fast.
We've been able to catch lots of rabbits, which is nice. But Tena keeps leaving me alone for long periods of time. It makes things difficult because I'm only able to go a few feet without overheating too much. I've used all the resources around the camp and am slowly losing my mind from the heat.
I don't think I'll be able to last much longer at this rate...

Day 26
Dear Journal,
Screw Tena, I need stuff.
I left camp and made my way down to where my skeleton was left to see if there was anything left. In doing so, I found our three forgotten chests from when we first started our journey by the portal. I gathered what I could but my pockets were pretty full.
I headed back to camp and found Tena was finally home.
She was building a farm outside of the enclosure. At first I thought this was just to smite me but then I realized what she was doing and I approved.
Tena also was able to build a presirber-er-ber-er thing with the top hat I made so she could make ice items to keep us cool when summer gets too hot.
So far things are going really well.

Day 25
Dear Journal,
Tena came home today with lots of meat and rabbits to skin for later. As soon as she left, I started to cook the meat and skin said rabbits but one of them gave me big puppy dog eyes and I couldn't help it. I let it go. So now we have a rabbit inside our enclosure. I like to think of him as a pet.
I named him Teeka.
Tena says she'll be gone a few days which makes me sad but I guess someone has to get supplies.
I haven't been able to go to the swamp. Every time I want to venture back to it, Tena isn't home and I need to get wood or the fires will go out and I'll die. I mostly just stay home with Teeka now.

Day 22
Dear Journal,
While venturing through the swamp to get rocks I found a lot more supplies.
Goatie-goats were all around which meant the tentacles were killed them which meant MEAT. It's been a while since I've had meat so I was quite pleased to get some.
I also found a lot of flowers and ore which came in handy later. I walked around for a little while before heading back to camp. I set up our cold fire pit and rested alone. Tena has been gone for a few days now and I'm starting to get lonely but she usually returns with good supplies I need.
Tomorrow I plan to go further into the swamp to see what else awaits.

Day 20
Dear Journal,
Tena angered the spiders again, causing yet another hole in my wall. *sigh* At least I was able to easily fix it.
Summer is upon us now which means it's getting much hotter. I made a thermal measure to keep track of exactly how hot it's getting. I need to get a cold fire pit going but that requires more cut stones. Tomorrow I plan to do some mining in the swamp while Tena is away.
Wish me luck!

Day 19
Dear Journal,
Took a day off to catch up on writing in the journals. I feel they are important to keep so when our bodies eventually rot, we'll still have some kind of keepsake of our time in this awful place.
I worry in my absence Tena has done something terrible...

Day 18
Dear Journal,
Tena decided to go get me spider webs to make clothes. She felt the best way to do this was to piss off the whole herd of spiders and lead them back to camp. She laughed at them as they tried to get over the wall which only made them more upset.
They burst through the wall and poured into our camp!!
I screamed and ran in circles to protect myself while Tena jumped over the wall, making them leave.
Once they were gone, I was able to repair our walls (and make them a bit taller this time just in case!) though I was not happy with Tena.
NO MEATBALLS FOR HER TONIGHT!!!

Day 17
Dear Journal,
Been working on getting the camp set up to be more 'home-y'. I made an alchemy machine for us to make more things. I made one half of our enclosed camp a grassy area so we can make it great for farming later. With summer coming, we'll have plenty to grow. If only we could find manure...
Tena came home just as I was setting up the wood flooring. Our home is looking more like a home each day. Maybe this being stranded thing won't be so bad after all.
We made another crock pot so I can make more food which isn't a big deal considering how much I already have stored. I'd love to get a fridge at some point though for storage.
Even better progress!

Days 10-16
Dear Journal,
In my absence, Tena has ruined the vision I had for our camp-home. The chests are by the food area and everything is in disarray. Not to worry though. I have returned to make things right again.
Now that I'm back, Tena has decided to venture off alone for a bit. While she's away, I've been mining and gathering supplies. I was finally able to make a stone wall all around our camp making it nice and safe. Goatie-goats angrily try to get in but can't figure it out which is great for laughs.
I've been cooking plenty of food so when Tena gets home, she'll have plenty to eat. And also so if one of us dies, we can heal faster...
Good progress!

Dear Journal,
Tena found another touch stone!!
I am excited to be alive again after being a ghostie for so long...

Day 6
Dear Journal,
I attempted to put the fire out before it burnt our chests full of goodies to a crisp. In doing so, I caught on fire myself and died. Tena was upset.
THANKFULLY!
We knew where a touch stone was so I made a beeline for it.
I waited until morning and then I resurrected myself. Unfortunately, a goatie-goat got hit with the lightning when I was coming back to life. It turned into a Bolt Goat and immediately killed me...
Tena got even more upset.
She told me to go away until she could resurrect me herself. *sigh*
- Kori
NOTE TO SELF: Don't light flowers on fire when your camp is 90% hay wall.

Day 1
Dear Journal,
Tena and I seem to be stranded somewhere. There are a lot of goatie-goats around but thankfully they're nice enough to let us stay.
We've decided to set up camp in a nice dry area. While the goatie-goats don't seem to be a threat to us, there are spiders to the left side of our camp. Tena set up a hay wall to keep them out until I make us a stone wall.
We already have a fire pit going strong along with a science machine Tena built. We gathered a lots of berries and seeds so we're not starving tonight. I have a good feeling about this 'survival' thing. We got this!
