Day 8 [Island part 2]

Dear Journal,

I found a small island inhabited with both pigs and mer-monsters.  I've decided to stay here for a while since the weather has gotten bad as of late.

After feeding the pigs, they've become my friends.  I built a small camp site around in the middle of the island, even though it's near the swamp.  Putting up a wood wall, I feel I'll be alright for a while.

I live off eating birds and any meat my pig friends get for me (though I always make sure to share with them) and so far I'm doing alright for myself.  I'm not too sure how long I'll stay here but for now it's nice to have a some-what home.

Day 4 [Island part 2]

Dear Journal,

Found an island today that wasn't very useful but it had a prime ape den.  I smashed it to gather items and the...  Inhabitants...  Decided to follow me around all day trying to steal from me in return.

As annoying as they are, they're harmless so I don't mind the company for the time being.

Day 3 [Island part 2]

Dear Journal,

Found an island crawling with crabs and crates.  Spent most of the day trapping and smashing things.  I with I had a bigger backpack to carry everything...

Day 1 [Island part 2]

Dear Journal,

I've lost track of the days...  Everything seems to blur together.

I'm just going to call this day 1 again since I'm right back where I started.

I've started to trap crabs and birds to get more food.  My sanity is slowly returning but who knows how long it'll last this time.

Day 15 [Island]

Dear Journal,

I wish I could tell you what's happened but to be honest, I have no idea myself.

I found the treasure on this island.  It wasn't guarded by snakes this time.  And it was also an actual treasure.  Ten gold dubloons, three red gems, two blue gems, two purple gems, a golden axe, a machete and some fish.

I used the machete to try and build that bamboo raft I've been wanting but in cutting down vines, I found myself face to face with some snakes.  I killed them pretty easily but one got a good bite out of me.

I felt dizzy and faint and then I realized it.

Poison.

I'd been poisoned.

Even with my health salves I'm still feverish.  I wonder how long it'll last.

I'm able to make my bamboo raft but in my state of mind, it seems like the shadows are dancing.  I can feel my sanity draining as the poison takes over my body more and more.

I can practically hear Tena's voice lecturing me about it.

Anyway.

By the time wake after passing out, I find myself on the exact same island I started on.  I think I remember sailing through some fog, finding shore and falling asleep but how did I get back here?

Ugh.

I wish I knew what was going on.

Day 11 [Island]

Dear Journal,

Well.  That island was a bust.

I started exploring it when I came across a broken Touch Stone.  I knew right away something bad must be going on here.  I repaired it and started wandering once more.  With night nearing, I went to set up my camp for the night.  Loud howling could be heard in the woods and I suddenly became very uneasy.

The next thing I know, a pack of Hell Hounds is running at me.  Quickly, I take off for the shore, trying to find my raft.  With them on my heels, I know I can't make it in time.  So I instead make for the Touch Stone I repaired earlier.

Near the touch stone, the hounds slaughter me and rip me to pieces.  Though thankfully, I am quickly revived.

However, the hounds are still on me.  I take off for the shore again, this time making it to my raft.  I wish now I'd made my bamboo raft when I had the chance.

I circle the island, making the hounds follow before going far out and going back around.

I'm able to make it to my things but the hounds are quick to return.

I'm able to grab my backpack, some logs and flint before hoping onto my raft again.  With night close again, I go to find another island.

Thankfully, there's one not very far and I'm able to set up camp there.

I'm glad I got my backpack because inside is my healing salve and food.  I heal my wounds and eat for the night, getting back to normal.  I consider going back to the hell hound island to get the last of my things but fear it might be too risky.

When I arrived on this island I found two things:  Another message in a bottle that tells me to go very far North.  And another pig.

In the morning I'll try to befriend him like I had Julius.  I wish there was a way to get him to come with me to the island but unfortunately that's out of the question.

For now, I'll sleep.

Day 9 [Island]

Dear Journal,

I found another very small island that had nothing more than a skeleton and some crabs.

The skeleton, however, had the supplies I needed to make a bamboo raft!  This will be much better than my log one.  I'll wait until my log one is completely broken though until I make it.

After leaving said island, I found another- larger- one that seems to be more forest-y than anything.  I set up camp for the night and have decided to explore for a few days.  Right away I noticed spider webs about so that's one thing to look out for.

My stomach is full, I'm in good health and I feel my sanity is fairing just fine.

I will survive this yet!

Day 8.5 [Island]

Dear Journal,

I gave some of my going-bad meat to the pig on the island before leaving.

His name is Julius.

And he said I should have asked for help finding the treasure because he's a good snake killer.

I'll keep track of this for next time.

Day 8 [Island]

Dear Journal,

After being on the open seas for a few days, I was finally able to make it to the island the map said to go to.  Along the way I found another rock-filled island though it was so small I could see one end to the other in all directions.

The treasure, it turned out, was five gold dubloons and a red gem.  Not only was the treasure less-than-ideal for my efforts; it was also guarded by snakes making it more of a bother than anything.  Oh well.

I spent some time hunting more crabs and exploring the area.  There is a piggy-pig here who doesn't seem to mind me staying for a bit.  I might look around before venturing to another island again.  I still have yet to find a good place to make a temporary home for myself.  But when I do find it, I have all the supplies I'll ever need.

On the way here, my raft sprung a leak but thankfully the first island I was on had some boat repair items and I was able to fix it.

I wonder what other goodies I can find in this place...

Day 5 [Island]

Dear Journal,

As I was heading back to my raft to leave this island, I found another skeleton.  Only this one was guarding some kind of bottle.  When I looked at it closer, I discovered there was a message inside.  It was some kind of map with a red 'X' on it.  According to it, I need to go to the West, a little passed the spider/snake island I was on a few days ago.  While I can't help but think this a trap, my curiosity is getting the better of me.

Maybe Tena will be there?

Day 4 [Island]

Dear Journal,

I spent the last few days catching crabs.  In the end, I filled the backpack full of them.  Now I should have plenty of meat to get me by.  I also gathered lots of logs, straw, twigs and flint.  I've pretty much made this island barren at this point so I made a raft and took off to the seas.

The first island I came across was a small one and while there were lots of trees there wasn't much else.

Oh.

Except for ALL THE F**KING SNAKES AND SPIDERS!!!!

They more or less chased me off the island right away and I was happy to go.  Ain't nobody need that noise in their life!

Taking up my raft once more, I was able to find another island.  This one is much larger than the last with few dangers.  In fact, all I've been able to find living on it aside from the crabs and birds, is a strange bird that seems to like eating rocks.  I considered killing it but it means me no harm and I have plenty of crab meat to keep me full for weeks.

Instead, we search the island together.

There's got to be a million rocks and magma piles laying around.  I ended up getting much more than necessary but I'd rather get all I can now.  The next island might not have any after all.

I found a lot of gold laying around also (though my bird friend seems to like eating those too) so I'm stocked up on that front.

I came across a skeleton but they had no supplies.  I wonder what happened to them...  Either way, I'm not sticking around to find out.

I'm sad to leave my bird friend but I have to find my way out of here and back to where ever Tena is.

Day 1 [Island]

Dear Journal,

Woke up this morning to find myself not in the woods but on a sandy beach.  I'm not sure how I got here but it doesn't seem too bad.  I'm enjoying the sun but I know it can only last so long.  Quickly I start gathering supplies in this strange new world.

Right away I find a backpack with fish and traps.  I use these both to capture a large amount of crab.

I will not starve!

As I venture around the island, I come to realize it's very small and that Tena is not here.  I'm worried about her but for now, I need to focus on myself.

I set up a camp fire, listening to the sounds of strange creatures.  I hope I can get out of here soon...
